Half term activities for kids and families, and some fun stuff for adults too.

The Bottleneck bottle shop on Charlotte Street has opened up its courtyard bar for summer evening drinks. Open Thursday to Sunday, you’ll find it by walking out of the back of the shop. A host of refreshing drinks are on offer to enjoy in the sunshine, including a tasty looking cocktail menu.

If you’re looking for something to do during half term, why not try the Treasure Trails Top Secret Spy Mission? Spies are tasked with tracking down an unpublished Charles Dickens manuscript, hunting for clues around Broadstairs. It should keep you occupied for two hours and wear little ones out with a 1.5 mile walk in the process. Available as a print out or download, access costs £9.99. treasuretrails.co.uk

More half term fun, Revolution Skatepark is running its popular Skate & Scoot Camp every weekday throughout the school holiday. Suitable for over 7s, it provides a full day of skating or scooting, plus games to break the day up. £90 for the full week or £25 per day. Book at revolutionskatepark.co.uk

As well as that, the Kinder Collective is hosting a seaweed pressing workshop for kids with The Driftweed Artist. There will be two sessions on May 28, where children four and up will get to create their own unique artwork. Tickets cost £9 through Eventbrite.

Looking beyond half term (because the need for entertainment is never ending), it’s World Oceans Day on June 8 and down at Stone Bay there’s a Seashore Safari lined up to celebrate. 4-11 year olds and their families will spend the morning exploring the chalk reef and rock pools to find all manner of sea life. Tickets available at Eventbrite for a donation of your choosing. 

Namaka at Stone Bay is open every day during half term, 8am-4pm, Friday May 24 - Sunday June 2, for healthy beach-side treats, coffee, breakfasts and lunches. This is weather dependant.
