The Twenty Seven Harbour Street restaurant has teamed up with Rakookoo for a delicious looking pop-up. Chef Rachel O’Sullivan will be taking over the kitchen for a special South East Asian menu on Wednesday May 29. Places are £40 pp. twentysevenharbourstreet.co.uk.
Laugh Therapy hosts a night of stand up comedy at the Pavilion on May 31 in aid of the Oasis Domestic Abuse Service charity. Headliner Musin Yeslilada will be joined by comedians including Tevin Everett, Eli Ward and Jezebel Pye. Tickets are £15.
There’ll be more laughs but less talk at the next Silent Sunday event at the Palace cinema, which will be showing a selection of classic Laurel & Hardy short films on May 26. Live piano accompaniment will be provided by Lillian Henley. Tickets.
The Broadstairs Dickens Festival has confirmed that it will return for its 87th edition on June 14-16. Various events will take place around the town to commemorate Charles Dickens’ numerous visits to the town between 1837 and 1859 broadstairsdickensfestival.co.uk
