TKE Studios presents Metropolis MMXXIV Premiere, a “corporate lullaby” and art film directed by TKE Studios Performance Artist in Residence Ted Rogers and an In Conversation with Tracey Emin. On Saturday, June 8, at 8pm, tickets £15

Margate Film Festival is the look out for shorts, features and moving images for this year’s festival, held in November. Submissions are open to all levels of filmmaker. Mergate Mermaid Parade, Saturday, June 1. In broad brushstrokes, there’s free kids facepainting at Guesthouse no.42 10am-12pm, the parade at 2pm before shows, performances, and activities at Margate Leisure, Bugsy and Faith in Strangers at 3pm, then the ball, at Faith in Strangers from 9pm

Mergate Beach Clean, Sunday, June 2 at 2pm. Head to Margate Main Sands and meet at the blue and white beach hut opposite Arlington House. 

Another pub quiz, Mr Ted’s Queasy Rider. Expect at some point in the night to draw a fake vagina and dress up in a garbage bag. It’s fun. It’s doing the Thanet rounds. Ramsgate Handmade and Vintage Fair is on Sunday, June 2. Running 11am-4pm, you can treat yourself to knick-knacks, preserves, jewellery, art, plants, and lovely things like that. Find it at Harbour Parade.

Bring your busted bike or electronics or your holey clothes to The Repair Cafe in Ramsgate. Running one Sunday a month at Radford House, the old fire engine hall, give your old broken junk new life by fixing it instead of chucking it and creating waste. This month’s on Sunday, June 9, suggested £2.50 donation, time - TBA, find more details here

Families with kids aged 4-11 can explore Stone Bay’s chalky shoreline and rockpool wildlife on the World Ocean Day Seashore Safari on Saturday, June 8. It starts at 8am, goes for 1.5 hours, and there’s a suggested £2.50 pp donation involved. Book, and find more information at eventbrite.co.uk
