Ramsgate International Film Festival has put the call out for volunteers. The 8th edition of the festival comes round June 25-30. There’s a variety of roles available from ushering, hospitality, and box office to documentation, tech support and general assistance to the core RIFF team across the six day event. A family day out, Ramsgate Tunnels mark their 10th anniversary with a Celebration Open Day. Running 9.30am to 4pm on June 1, there’ll be tours and displays and artefacts on display, as well as plenty of opportunities to find out more about UK’s largest network of civilian war time tunnels. ramsgatetunnels.org

Honeysuckle Inn, a 17th century pub has blues playing at the bar on Sundays. Ellington Park's May Fayre is on this Sunday, May 19 from 10am to 6pm. There’s live music on the bandstand and plenty of food options to try out. A day out for the family, look out for funfair and train rides, as well as face painting, crafts and a classic car show too. CT911 9TL ellingtonpark.org.uk

A hike with a pub at the end, Waypoint Crews are hosting a walk from Ramsgate to Margate on June 9. They predict the 15km walk will take 3.5 hours including time for a picnic lunch at Botany Bay, from the meeting point at Ramsgate Train Station to Harbour Arms micropub in Margate for a well earned pint or two while you listen to live music. Walk starts at 10.30am and there’s the opportunity to head out for fish and chips after. Tickets £11.55.

New queer cabaret space Salon Du Miel host The Clam Sessions this Sunday May 19. A charming, eclectic night full of surprises, quirk and talent, and acts as varies as drag and spoken word. Doors 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Tickets £6.
